In 2017, real estate fund NSI deployed a new strategy: becoming the specialist in the Dutch office market.

She divested herself of her retail real estate and rationalized her team of employees. This new course required a new working method for the production of the annual report. Being better in control was an explicit wish.

There was also a need for more explanation of the strategy using storytelling and infographics. NSI’s strategy to be the leading specialist in the Dutch office market is threefold. This is achieved through asset rotation and portfolio expansion, the best organizational platform and optimization of balance sheet ratios.

Three interviews provide a picture of the way in which employees contribute to realizing the strategy.

For example, the head of acquisition explains how he still manages to close lucrative deals in a tense, rising market.
In a second interview it is described how the head of asset management achieves maximum returns on existing real estate through process optimization and relationship management, among other things.
Finally, an interview with emerging talent at NSI reports on how they become acquainted with the many facets of the real estate profession and their appreciation for NSI’s young talent program.
