At Northern Wonder they make coffee from non-tropical ingredients, so without coffee beans. With their innovation they want to combat the deforestation of tropical rainforests, without having to compromise on the usual and beloved cup of coffee. <\/p>\n\n

They work closely with Wageningen University & Research and leading food technology partners to find answers to their big question: which molecules are promising building blocks to imitate the characteristic coffee taste? They want to transform the coffee market: not better coffee, but coffee-free coffee that cannot be distinguished from the real thing. This way we can continue to enjoy our beloved coffee rituals, but without the aftertaste of deforestation. <\/p>\n\n
